About Us

Cancer Shop USA was first conceived when I, Dr. Melanie Bone, was going through my own cancer treatments. Barely 40 years old and with 4 children under the age of 6, I was diagnosed with Stage III breast cancer. I underwent bilateral mastectomies with reconstruction, 6 months of chemotherapy, and 6 weeks of radiation. Even though I am a doctor and surgeon, I learned firsthand about all the side effects of treatment. I was too sick to work during those months so I spent a lot of time thinking about how to make the cancer experience easier. Learn more below.
